The Northeast Classic 2016

Putting the key into the handle and popping open the big door to a 1965 Pontiac Bonneville, my heart drops just a bit. I delicately place myself on the cushy bench seat and take in a long deep breath. The day has finally arrived, Ted Yerardi’s car show “The Northeast Classic.” Adesa Boston, known for its car auctions, promotions, and more sets the mood for this wonderful elaborate car show. I take that long deep breath and open my eyes. No air freshener is needed as the musty old Bonneville smells like the ’60s. It brings me back to an era in which every car fanatic has either been immersed in or has always wanted to be a part of. For me, it gives me a small glimpse of what exotic old-fashioned cars were like.

I was esthetic and honored to be able to say, yes I drove this beautiful monstrosity of a car at this wonderful event. The Northeast Classic car show set off for its second year, and with it came excitement as I had no idea what to expect. I watched as many cars pulled into the front gates for the event. Amazed at the possibilities of driving, and capturing cars, I set my camera in place and was ready for the day.  Not only did I get the opportunity to capture the essence and beauty of each car, but I also got to drive them into their rightful spots on the lot. Cars that only most people can dream of, such as the Ford GT, Porsche Clubsport GT4, Ferrari Testarossa, Spyker C8, and of course the James Bond car a beautiful Aston Martin Vantage.

Seeing so many cars in my grasp, I would have to point out that my favorite to drive around in is the Spyker C8. It gives off the vintage fighter plane feel with its shifter which makes this car very unique of any automobile. Beautifully lined, escaping vintage blue color and an interior that will make your heart flutter. It’s a car that not only has beauty and integrity but also has one of the best owners knowing what it’s like to have such an amazing and well-kept exotic car. Spyker C8 Article/Photos

This show is very unique because, yes it has a variety of cars but it also has the only area that gives overviewing helicopter rides.  What car show has awesome helicopter rides and a lot full of captivating cars? Northeast Classic raised $10,000 this year with all proceeds going towards Children with Clef Pallets at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Next year Northeast Classic will be raising money towards Vest a Dog. If you missed the show this year, mark your calendars for next year as this show kicks off the last Saturday of September every year. Not only does this car show raise money, but it gives everyone a chance to show their support, show off their cars, and also have some fun meeting new people and enjoying the little things in life.
